Through direct contact with the Mexican artisan families and the renunciation of the middleman, we are the direct contact for manufacturers and customers. This allows the materials and workmanship direct control and customers' needs are taken into account in particular.

Fair Trade

The focus of our work are the families of craftsmen and their unique products. According to the principles of fair trade partnerships based on our dialogue, transparency and respect, which we contribute to greater equity in international trade:

Dialog - We see our work as a "give and take". We are in constant dialogue with producers and want to grow together. Pitfalls and progress are discussed and documented. Also our customers we stand for dialogue available - we are always happy to receive suggestions and criticism.

Transparency - We communicate openly and honestly with our Mexican partners and with our clients. The customer knows exactly where the jewelry comes from the manufacturer learns of how and where the jewelry is sold and presented. We maintain close personal contact with our Mexican partners and bring the jewelry on the direct route to customers in Germany.

Respect
- In cooperation with our Mexican partners worlds collide. Not only the living conditions are different from the ground up, but our cultures are completely different. These differences we are aware and we maintain a respectful relationship.

We accompany the silver artists and their families on their individual path to greater economic security and independence.

Social responsibility

We work in particular together with manufacturers families who previously had the opportunity to offer their unique products outside the weekly market in Taxco silver. Due to lack of education, lack of resources or insufficient knowledge in tax and customs matters, they are completely out of the demand. So it is hard to plan ahead and they have to live from week to week:
Artesanos sell  their products on the silver market on Saturdays , depending on the turnover  tehy will buy new silver on Mondays and then they make the new jewelry from Tuesday to Friday to sale in the market. If they dont manage to sell enough on the market, the families struggle to make ends meet. The high capital tied up in silver craft represents a particular challenge. Extreme Silver price fluctuations and a decline in tourism in the drug war complicate the silver business.

In this closed system, we have given the manufacturer families a new perspective: We take over the complete organization of quality management to export. We bear the costs of the laboratory tests of the silver, the overall tax burden in Mexico and Germany, as well as transportation costs. Furthermore, we do the necessary administrative procedures and lead the manufacturers gradually introduced to administrative tasks. Long-term self-organization, as well as living and working conditions of artisans and their families can thus be improved through coaching and counseling and manufacturers develop into reliable business partners.

A common goal

During our visits with the artist families in Taxco worlds meet, particularly marked by a completely different culture and a very different standard of living.

Mexico is the land of "mañana". All times shown are suggested to understand, because tomorrow is another day. Most Mexicans are cheerful and warm and spontaneous and flexible - they live in the present instead of planning ahead. Pressure and impatience they perceive as a deterrent. Mexicans are a proud people, do not generally say  what they think, but communicate indirectly. These and many other cultural differences pose challenges for cooperation with them. During our two years of study in Mexico, however, we were able to get to know the Mexican culture well, thus we understand our partners and can often sensitively find the right words in the dialogue.

Our goal is to make the manufacturers with significant cultural differences familiar, so that they can develop into reliable international business partners and thus achieve more economic security and independence.
